2016 Starcraft Launch 27BHU question

I am new to camper ownership, and I have a question about the plumbing system on a 2016 Starcraft Launch 27BHU. I apologize ahead of time if it's a stupid one. The owner's manual I got with the trailer makes no mention of this valve, however, when you go on Starcraft's website and get the online version of the owner's manual, it mentions it but not what it's for. I have the bypass set up that bypasses the water heater, and a valve by the water strainer (I'm assuming that's just to close when you want to take the filter apart and clean the metal strainer, but someone tell me if I'm wrong). However, there's another valve right beside the water pump. In the online manual it calls it the "fresh water shutoff valve". What does this do and should it be open on closed? I'm assuming it needs to be open to draw water out of the fresh water tank, but should it ever be closed??? Thanks!!

If I am not mistaken, you would use that when you are winterizing your system. It should close off the line to the fresh water tank, then you should have a hose that has a valve on it that you would put into a jug of antifreeze, Then turn the pump on and it would suck up the antifreeze instead of the freshwater.

X2 and picture this as your gallon of antifreeze to fill your water lines for winterizing.

That's what I thought, but I wanted to be certain. Thanks again.
