Hi: I have a partial solution to carrying extra water (20 gallons) to use in our TT. My son had his 28ft boat stolen and has settled with the insurance company.
Hence he is not buying another boat and has given me 20 gallon cooler. A picture attached.
Solution part #2---How to transfer water from cooler in back to pickup truck, with a very long clear hose, to RV down spout to fresh water tank. I believe gravity will work ; hose down RV water tank CAN be lower that cooler in truck bed. I said CAN, but not sure. Also, priming a long hose can be a problem. My lungs are not that strong to suck in water for 25 feet.
Maybe a submersible, inexpensive water pump can be a solution. Can de AC or 12V DC---I carry a third 12v deep cycle battery in pickup (backup for the 2 on TT).
I plan to use it to transfer grey water from the holding tank on the trailer to a holding tank in my pickup (my poor man's solution to a "blue boy"), but the concept can be used to transfer water to/from just about anywhere.
I use a 120VAC utility pump, 2 hoses (intake and discharge) and the genset to transfer 18 gallons at time from the containers we fill about 1/2 a mile from the campsite.
I use an inexpensive 12 volt submersible bilge pump that fits into the opening of a 7 gallon Aquatainer. Ten feet of clear hose on the discharge and alligator clips on the wires completes the setup. It takes a few minutes to transfer the water, but I'm on vacation and not in a hurry.

I just purchased a 12v bilge pump through Amazon. This pump will handle the lift and length.
