2015 26bhs

Well the wife and I just signed the papers on a 2015 Starcraft 26BHS this morning! Looking to get it out as soon as possible, but might be a couple months till it warms up enough around these parts! We're upgrading from a smaller Funfinder 189, so it'll be a bit of an upgrade for us! I'm pumped for all the extra storage this unit allows. Hopefully it's smooth sailing!

MY DW and I pulled the trigger on a 2015 Autumn Ridge 329BHU and couldn't be happier. The second slide in the rear really creates a lot of extra space, and my wife loves the fact that the rear bedroom has a second dinette and a door and it can be made completely private. She's a quilter and usually has her sewing machine and other quilt making stuff with her - now she has an area all to herself. We got the second AC unit and the Artic package as part of the deal. It also came pre-wired for a back up camera. We're looking forward to hitting the road!

We got the wiring for the backup camera as well - have you looked into what it would take to get it operational?

Ours was plug & play with the camera from Furrion. The camera mounts in the box on the rear of the trailer, and the wireless monitor goes inside the truck. Model #FRC12TA-BL

http://furrion.com/camera-system/

You can buy it directly from Furrion.

pawpaw - we just took delivery of a 2016 Starcraft 24RLS, and it is prewired for a Furrion camera. Sounds like you ordered a camera directly from them and installed it yourself. I was wondering if the trailer prewiring supplies 12V all the time or just when backing up?

Ours was wired to the trailer marker lights and we had to turn the truck lights on to activate the camera. Works great.

Thanks pawpaw and ninjahbob! Now I'm leaning toward Furrion's new FOS48TAPK-BL instead of the FRC12TA-BL. I will probably wait until pawpaw gets his FOS48TAPK-BL installed to see if it's worth $499. How long have you guys been using a camera on the trailer? I put one on my last trailer, but within 6 months it was fogging up inside. There was no way to open it and dry it out. Just had to wait a couple weeks for it to dry up. Finally just removed it. It was out of warranty. I suppose it's a case of getting what you pay for. My truck camera has never fogged up. Best thing since sliced bread for hooking up the hitch.

The new FOS48TA-BL is installed! It's a true rear view camera system. The FRC12TA-BL works as advertised - it's a back up camera. When used as a rear view camera system I had a problem with it constantly loosing signal and tiling. The new FOS48 system is a huge improvement. It works smoothly and hasn't dropped the signal yet. It also is plug & play if your rig is pre-wired like ours was. The manual says that the camera and monitor must be paired, but ours came already paired.
Just remember that the TV running lights must be on to power the system.
I hope this helps.

Furrion FOS48TA-BL Wireless Observation Back Up Camera System

I purchased the Starcraft launch 24 RLS and just won a bid on eBay for the Furrion FOS48TS-BL camera. I'll let everyone know how it works out..

We have that camera system on our TT and it works very well. It takes all the guess work out of wondering what's behind you, or if I have cleared that vehicle I just passed enough to pull back into my lane. Now I'm spoiled and wouldn't tow without it.

Thumbs up

I have it on my Starcraft 309BHS and it works flawlessly. Takes a lot of the guess work out of backing and the display is surprisingly clear!!

Hi acdoctor,
Just wonder how the Backup camera is working for you. I too have a Launch 24 RLS (2016) and I see "its wired" for the camera but I am not sure what that means.
Is that bracket on the back of the RV just to hold the Furrion eye with power access. Whats the approx price if I cant find a deal.
Happy Trails.

I have a gently used 2011 StarCraft Autumn Ridge 278BH for sale if anyone knows someone looking for a great TT. We recently ordered a FW and are putting feelers out now for sale of ours before we go the Craigslist route.

Prewire is kind of a misnomer. To connect the camera you first remove the cover from the attached case. Inside the case will be the connection. for the camera. You have to turn your lights on to activate the camera because it is wired to the marker lights on your unit. The camera works well and when we are driving we use it to assist in changing lanes etc,
