Congrats on the new to you campers guys. Get out there and enjoy them. We went to Destin FL for a week between Mother's day and Memorial day and had a blast. Going to Gatlinburg the end of this month. With the weather here lately we haven't had a chance to get out much more (it's only rained twice, once for 45 days and once for 35 days LOL). Keep us updated with your trips!

Somehow I missed this thread, we recently purchased a 2013 Starcraft Travel Star 229TB. Nice thing is that Starcraft now has the same 2 year warranty as Jayco.
This floorplan is really nice, and while the contest was close, it won over the Jayco X23B which was what we originally went to look at.

We've just bought a last-on-the-lot 2013 Autumn Ridge 266RKS. We looked high and low at new and used trailers and think this unit's floorplan is just about perfect for a couple. The differences between the '14 and '13 were negliable, we got the two year starcraft warranty and the price could not be beat, so a new unit it was for us. Build quality is good, component quality is good and overall I think this is a fine mid-range unit. It's 4' shorter and 2500# lighter than our last bunkhouse and at just under 30' is really a delight to tow.
Northern California has been a tough market for Starcraft over the years and we're happy to return to the brand that started us off camping almost 20 years ago!

We have a 186BH, there is just me, the wife and our toddler. We wanted a trailer (this was our first) that we could tow from one end of Canada to the other with little setup, one that was not going to be to big to tow for 10 hours a day and setup and take down, as well one that would not take up a lot of space in our driveway. We decided pretty early on that we wanted a Jayco, then I discovered the Autumn Ridge and spent months trying to find a used one. I found it Oct. 2012 and we got a 2010 186 BH Autumn Ridge for $10K inc. tax. The only issue so far has been a leaky toilet valve and last summer we had a storm that was bad enough to drop a tree branch and tear the roof in four small spots. That was easily fixed with a patch kit but would have happened to any trailer.

We took it out East for two weeks last summer, towed like a dream and was just the right size for the three of use to use as somewhere to sleep, eat and shower in comfort after camping in a tent for years.

Love it, and cannot wait for the snow to melt so we can hook it up and get going our our next trip.

Another recent Starcraft owner

Hi Folks!
Just another newbie here, just sold my 1207 pop-up.
And bought this StarCraft Sport 270BH a couple days ago, and so far I can't stop looking at it! It's a 2009, but still like new inside and out. I just have to replace the outdoor speakers and find an outdoor stove that will mount on the optional rail.
Can't wait to take her camping!

Hopefully we pick up our new 2015 Starcraft 26bhs today or tomorrow. It was between 26bhs or the Jayco 23mbh. The starcraft was about $4000 less! The Jayco dealer was really trying to bash the Stafcraft saying it was inferior to the Jayco. I think the cabinets in the jayco were a little better other than that everything looked the same.

Shows you that an RV dealer will say anything to make a sale. Well, anything but lowering the price!

Jayco and Starcraft are owned by the same company (Jayco).
When I bought my Starcraft (2011 235fb), it was during the economic downturn time and the Starcraft 235fb was being made at the Jayco plant where they made the Jayco 23fb. They are identical in almost every way, but as you said, the cabinets in the Jayco look a bit nicer. We have been very pleased with the quality of the Starcraft.

Just picked up our Starcraft Travel Star 299BHU this week. Traded in our Jayco X23J. We spent our first night in it last night, thunderstorms and heavy rain. All appears tight and water proof.
