Starcraft Pics

Trying to make this subforum come alive. Post up a pic of a Starcraft, preferably yours. Perhaps a bit of info to go with it.

A fine specimen if I may say so...

2016 AR-One Maxx Extreme 19 BH LE. Bunkhouse model with a lift, weighing in at around 3800lbs unloaded.

Night shot at Carter Lake, CO

Admin, please let me know if this is the wrong forum for this.

Thanks,
Jim

That's a great night shot - really goes with the StarCraft theme... Reminds me I need to start hauling my telescope around when we go out.

We poked around a bit on the StarCraft site when looking but according to their website the closest dealers to us were 2-3 hours away. Our Jayco dealer is only 10 minutes so that was certainly a factor.

This is my love and joy STARCRAFT 14 R/T Series OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer. With it's beefed up frame and 15-inch tires it can go anywhere my 4X4 truck takes it...

We like to camp off-road up in the high country around the SKYLINE DRIVE and Blue Ridge Parkway camp spots here in Virginia...

Don't care much for the RV TRAVELING mode... Camping alongside of a creek bed usually where there is no hookups in our life style...

Our game plan is to run all the things we want to use which is generally everything except the high wattage Air Conditioner and high powered Microwave and have a large enough battery bank to run us to 8AM the next morning bringing down the battery bank state of charge around 50%. Then when allowed we can run our on-board PD9260C Converter/charger unit from the 2KW generator during breakfast each morning to re-charge our batteries back up to their 90% charge state so we can do this all over again the next day/night run off our batteries...

Been doing this since 2009 and it works out just fine for us...

Roy Ken...

Here's my 2011 Starcraft 235fb with a Stromberg/Carlson Trailer Tray and MaxxHaul Bike Rack attached:

And here's the driver's side with my porta-bote attached:

I think I'm kind of getting like The Beverly Hillbillies with the number of things I have hanging off my vehicle!

Hey Dewey.... How do you like the porta-bote? I had been looking at one of those.

We love it.
My wife and I love to fish when we go camping, but we were always stuck fishing from shore because we couldn't haul the travel trailer AND a boat. My nephew told me about porta-bote and it works great.

We have the 12 foot model. It has 3 seats and we keep the seats, transom, and a 40 pound thrust trolling motor in a big canvas duffel that we throw in our pickup bed.

It takes about 15 minutes to set up (and take down). The hull folds to be only about 4 inches thick, so my TT is still legal width with the bote attached.

The hull weighs about 70 pounds and I can handle it myself, but it is easier with two people taking it off the trailer. Some people also mount them underneath their trailer or 5er.

Here's our Autumn Ridge 329BHU. We were at the Leisure Resort campground on the San Marcos River not far from San Marcos, TX last weekend (Aug 4 - 8).
Lots of fun with the kids, grand kids and friends. There were 4 RV's in our group.
