Air Compressors

Any recommendations on air compressors for tires and for gently blowing out your plumbing to winterize?

I got the Viair 88P Portable Air Compressor for the road, but I don't think it would work to blowout waterlines. I have a Bostich pancake compressor at home in my shop that I use for heavy duty work.

Harbour freight has a few at reasonable prices. I bought one quite a few years ago for under $100. 8 gallon tank, on wheels, 2 hp. If that's all you're going to use it for like me it's perfect.

I bought the 3 gallon pancake from Harbor Freight.. Pressure can be adjusted from 10 psi to 100 psi.. Just make sure you follow the break in directions.. It is small enough that I take it camping with me incase the tires need inflating or an air mattress needs pumping up...

X2 on Harbor Freight. Get on their mailing list - in their sale flyers they frequently use their small air compressors as "loss leaders" to get people in the store. Several times a year they have put their pancake compressor on sale and/or bundled it with accessories. I got mine a few months back for $69 with a "kit" of hose and various nozzles.
Northern Tool is another good one to watch.
