You really don't need to use your EMS when using your inverter gen sets but with many having their EMS hardwired into their systems, the EMS will throw an "open ground" error code when using their gens and cut power to the RV until you do what has been described above.

Then there are some that refuse to take any chances whatsoever with their RV power systems and use one anyway out of habit, even with their inverter gen sets. To each their own.
