08 jayco RLQS 431 water heater problems

Well my water works if I use gas but when using Electric dsi fault light came on while using electric mode after about a couple of mins. Is there a fix for this? I looked on the fuse panel fuse looks good and the circus breaker is on.

Check to see if you have power at the heating element. If you have power there, it may be a bad element. They are easy to replace.

Oops, I sent this before I realized you said dsi fault. I misunderstood the question.

I answered the question thinking he had no electric heat working on the water heater. When I saw my mistake I would have deleted my answer but didn't see a way to do that so I'm fumbling around trying not to look stupider than I am.

Not sure if this will help but are all of the contacts on the water heater panel clean? I had a drip from the pressure relief valve that corroded one of my contacts. I had a hard time pulling the spade connection apart and when I did, it was full of black mold. Cleaned it up with an Emory board and knife.

Hope it is something simple.
