110 V Ceiling Fan Replacement

I am wanting to replace the living room ceiling fan in our 06 Designer. The current fan is a 3-speed, 42 inch with a globe light. The company that manufactured this fan is no longer in business. For those that have replaced theirs where and what did you use as a replacement. One problem I have found is the diameter of the motor cover. The fan is installed in a 12 1/2 inch square X 1 1/4 inch deep cavity and to install the cover hardware the cover must be approx. the same as the current (9 inch).
Thank you for any information.

I took mine apart last week to look at it. I would not hesitate to put a new one in it's place. Probably just a standard residential fan and mounted the same way. You could look and find one that would mount in the existing space.

The reason I took mine apart was 2 fold. One, the bulb vibrated out of the socket and TWO, both switches were hard to operate and very cheaply made. I put it all back together and decided to wait until one of the switches goes bad. The 4 way switch cost a good part of the cost of a new fan.

The sticker indicated it was a Made in China product.

Yes, It is a 4 blade fan. The body is 9 in wide, the hole it mounts in is 12.5 inches square.

Made by Global Electric, PO box 129, Sumner , Washington 98390 Only # I see is BF51
