12v plug in living room

Hello all, i am a future new owner, should arrive within the next two weeks. Does anyone know if the 2017 321rsts has a 12v plug in the area of the tv in the living room area. We enjoy dry camping and i have to have tv available in the early morning (before generators are allowed). Also if there is a plug, will a inverter be able to supply enough power for the 48 inch tv.

Your challenge will be keeping the battery charged. Without knowing how much energy the TV takes I can't predict how often you will need to recharge the battery.

12V Plug

There is no 12V plug in the living room. There is one in the bedroom.

Usually there is a 12vdc plug on the antenna booster. I am not sure where it is in that model but it is usually near the main tv because that is where the antenna cable comes from that feeds the tv.

I just looked at the location of your Living room in relation to the batteries and that is about a 30' run, so 12VDC to that location would have a large voltage drop. Inverters and TV do not like any voltage drops. The voltage drop for 110VAC in not even noticeable.

Here is an EASY solution. Get 4 lengths of GRAY 3/4" electrical PVC conduit, some "U" clamps and plastic ties. Mount the PVC conduit along the frame from the battery location (up front) to the slide out area where the living room is. Pull a 12/3 110VAC Romex from the inverter (mounted next to the batteries) to the slide out (leave enough slack to pull up into the EXTENDED slide out). Install a new 110VAC outlet for your media center next to your existing 110VAC outlet. You can just move the plug to the inverter outlet when you are dry camping. Connect the 110VAC Romex from the living room to the inverter using a heavy duty 110VAC 15Amp rated 3 prong plug. You can hook a bungee cord to the Romex so that it keeps the slack when the slide is in from drooping under the TT, while traveling

It sounds harder than it actually is.

Hi how did you figure out a place to drill a hole through the bottom of the slide. Then fish the wire up the wall next to 110 outlet. We have 275 PV panel 30 amp blue sky MPPT controller. Sounds like a great plan. Thanks Brett Wittmann AZ.
