'16 pinnacle flsa awning
Had the new coach a week and already had problems. Nothing j ayco related.big rain storm this afternoon and the main awning loaded up with water before we could get back and the rear arm is destroyed. I've looked through the manual and can't find any info on which awning this is. I need to get a repair guy here to replace the damaged arm.
Which model is j ayco using on the flsa?

Our 2015 Pinnacle has Dometic awnings, but I heard they switched to Carefree for the 2016's. On ours there is a label on the aluminum tube that has all the info on it, the awning has to be extended to see the label. Your paperwork may also specify the made.

Pull the clear bag with all the manuals and check. My 2011 was Carefree and my 2014 is Dometic. If it's Dometic there should be a brand name on the plastic cap end of the rails mounted to the sidewalls, but check the manuals.

No manual. Can't believe it collapsed due to water. Guess the option of changing the angle like the manual ones isn't there..or at least we haven't figured it our yet.no wind just a steady rain.
Don't see anything the caps or arms.

Our awning has some holes on each of the arms with little buttons to move either side up or down to slant the awning to let moisture run off. Totally manual, but doable. I am surprised that the rain ruined the arm, but I guess these things happen. You need to get with your dealer and get it fixed, probably under warranty.

This awning looks like a poor design as for rain runoff. I have been looking at that myself. I am sorry to hear that yours has already broke. We are used to putting it out when raining to take the dog out to potty im guessing that is no longer a option.

As jal0710 said there are "pitch adjustment" holes in the arm and once the pitch is set you don't need to do anything when rolling it in or out. We had the same type awning on our 08 SENECA and it never held water once the side to side pitch was set.

We've always done the same but I don't see any manual adjustments in this one. The arms a're probably 6 ft off the ground so not a lot can be done. I did talk with colerain today and we have things started. With the roller I down on the dining slide i'm stuck on a site we were supposed to leave tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

My 38 FLSA awning released at one end on its own to dump the water if the water got to heavy. Only had the 5th wheel since May so hopefully it was supposed to do that on purpose.

The adjustment holes are very small and have a little "pin" sticking out of one of the holes. Take a look at the side of your arm to see if there are any holes running up the arm toward the awning, that's where my adjustment holes are. I didn't order this pitch adjustment, it just came with the awning.

I have a Pinnacle 2015 36KTPS with automatic awnings. There is a thumb wheel on the bottom of each arm, if they are loose the awning will dip down when water gets on them. If the thumb wheel is tight it will not dip. I tighten the thumb wheels when it is windy. I always bring the awnings in when I am not at the rig and when the sun goes down.

Colerain and carefree are both taking care of the issue. After talking with some of the engineers at carefree, the awning was supposed to pull back when pooling of water occurs. Replacement is being shipped, and I'll update when the changes are complete. There was some type of issue, and I'm shipping the damaged awning back to carefree for analysis.
