The roof on my 5th needs some repair. There seems to be a metal cap under the roof membrane that wraps over the round sides of the roof. The metal was stapled into the wood I think and they have worked loose and are poking into the membrane. I am thinking of using 5/8 #10 stainless screws with 1" fender washers to reattach the metal to the wood. I will use Dicor or some other sealant in the screw holes and under the washer, then place a strip of everbond on top. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Any other suggestions? Thanks
