2011 Eagle SL 31.5 Rlts Sewer smell

We have had this camper for little over a year. We have had off and on sewer smell since we bought new. Now it is so bad when you open the door it just about knocks you down. Vents are clean and debris free and valves under the sinks appear to work fine. Chemicals are not working. We really can't tell if it is bathroom sink or both! Any suggestions are appreciated as the closest dealer is an hour away.

Is the toilet seal leaking, will it hold water in the bowl?

Perhaps a vent stack pipe is short of the roof line and venting into the unit or what CM mentioned first. Either way while under your warranty have it investigated.

It may be possible the the pipe going from the toilet bowl to the black tank isn't seated correctly. Or the stink pipe has come loose behind the wall (check from the roof with a flashlight looking into the pipe for alignment, and also check that it's not plugged).

But as mentioned, if it's still under warranty I would take it in.

Do you use your shower? We do not. I do try to pour a little water down the drain periodically, but we still had the same issue. I final place a drain plug in shower drain and the odor issue completely went away. One of these days I am going to stick my head under the lav sink and look under the shower base to see how the trap is setup.

Another possibility, there is a funny vent (I do not recall its name) under your sink, that looks like a pipe stub, it could be stuck open.

That is what I am thinking it is. We have had to deal with that valve also.

could you be referring to the vacuum breaker valve in the flusher line to the black tank ? I had one of those go bad and stick open.

No, this one way valve is located on the top of a short piece of pipe under the sinks.

Do your sink/shower drains hold water? If you have a leak and the water leaves the trap you will get sewer gas from the sink/shower.
