Angry 2011 Pinnacle FW B1RB

Any one out there having any issues with their convention oven /range oven combo exhaust... It seems that Jayco has install a dummy exhaust hole... this means that any fumes/smoke from cooking on your range oven are actually not exhaust out through the provide hood vent; IT's BLOCKED ... the exhaust hole that the convention/microwave oven has on the back is on the left hand corner and the dummy hole is right in the middle of the wall - way of , why I don't know , they did not give a specific reason for this other than to use the roof vent to aid with condensation , smoke and/or fumes.. by using the roof vent you lose your cool or warm environment depending on the season!!!!!... Watch out new buyers.. If anyone contacted jayco please share your experience on this matter....

Do you have it opened outside? There is a flapper dood outside the camper that needs to be unlatched.

It will be on the side of the camper that the stove is on.

yes... that's what triggered me to calla mobile Rv service guy in and take a look... We took the microwave down from it's place and saw the the outlets vent hole don't match in angle... Jayco even said that vent hole was just there a dummy vent... apparently this model , at the beginning, was selling an either or option -either you got the convention oven/microwave or the range oven w /microwave only combo... the only explanation is that this a screw up engineer designed... and since I assume all this walls are pre-fabricated by 1000s they just let the client suffer for it ...

I have the Jayco Designer 35RLSA...it has the same 1/2 time Oven(convection oven) and microwave. AS my Designer is out of warranty I did a modification to it....took down the microwave/oven and marked on the wall what needed to be cut/ground out...ground it out...put up some new heat tape to cover what was newly exposed..had to change the vent exhaust shield...(mine easily reversed)...reattached the microwave and now it vents to the outside...
I will admit the air flow is alittle reduced but it still exhausts to the outside....just like it is suppose to. I saw this modification on modmyrv.com....step by step instructions.
Total time for the modification(and I am not a Handyman by trade) was about 3 hours.
Hope that helps!!! Good luck.

Well, you got me to wondering....mine appears to be working right but I think I will peer into my vent to see if it is lined up or a little off. Strange.
