Smile 2014 Jayco Pinnacle

We are seriously considering upgrading from a 2012 Eagle to a 2014 Pinnacle. Any comments?

We have a 2014 Pinnacle LKTS .We ordered this from the brocher with out seeing one on the lot. the first thing i got rid of was the wine rack, made a door out og the frame and turned the space into a bread box. Jayco or the dealer would not not make this door. Added an extra receptical behind the TV. Put a plexa glass sp;ash panel net to the stove. added shelves next to the w/d closet and in the bathroom closets and got rid of the elcheapo vacumn

We love our Pinnacle, been fulltiming in it for almost 2 years now, it is a very solid well designed and built 5th Wheel and is holding up well to our travels and fulltime use.

For what reason(s) are you thinking of making the change?

Our '12 Pinnacle has survived about 15,000 miles of towing and use in the 2 years we have had it. About 10,000 of those miles were our trip to Alaska this summer, 4000 to the Smoky Mts last year, and the rest locally.

I will be upgrading to an "E" rated tire. I have removed the desk lid, the table leaf, and 2 chairs as we didn't use them. The Cloud 9 mattress that came with it is junk (oh my achin' back!), and I'm in the market for an improved upgrade. I've made the entry door fit tighter as was leaking dust when towing.

All other features and functions worked flawlessly.

'13 Pinnacle

We bought a new '13 Pinnacle earlier this year. Had it out for about three months so far this year. Tested and ran everything. Bottom line: Love It! We got the smallest Pinnacle (not available for '14) as it fit the two of us semi-retirees perfectly, and an absolute breeze to tow. The windows are large and we like the light. (We did take down all the border "curtains" on the side of each window and above the windows--too dark, blocked a great deal of the window, and just dust collectors--removing gave the rig a lighter, airy, open look -- See "after" Pic below) Thought we would never use the electric fireplace, but turns out it is perfect to just take the chill off first thing in the morning (we camped above 9000' most of the summer). Cabinetry and workmanship everywhere is excellent. We added some "middle" shelves for all the pantry and the toiletry cabinets. On our model, the sink in the bedroom was an above counter glass bowl. Way too small, so swapped it out with a 21" oval glass bowl sink bought on Amazon--took 5 minutes. (Can see the new sink in second pic below). I expect we will be hanging on to this rig for quite a few years. Click image for larger version
