2015 F350 srw- 2016 38FLSA
Does anyone see a problem towing a 2016 38FLSA with a 2015 F350 SRW?

I think most would suggest a DRW. Folks could probably suggest potential problems. I think plenty would also say they tow a similar trailer with a SRW and have had no problems.
I would expect this trailer to challenge the payload and towing capacity of that truck (depending on the truck configuration). You didn't mention of it is a Gas or Diesel; crew cab; 4wd; etc.
I've see some F350 SRW with less than 3000lb payload.
I tow a slightly heavier 5th wheel with a SRW 3500 that does fall within the specs of the truck. That said, I have not had any problems. A DRW I'm sure would be 'better'.

Pulling power will be fine. Payload could be in question. I am maxed out on payload (4100 lbs). I must have bottomed out going over a bump or something when towing. I noticed the jounce bumper had hit the axle. I was getting high beam flashed at me at night as well. I put air bags on to help level things out.
I use the Andersen ultimate 5th wheel connection with my short bed. I have plenty of clearance between the cab and cap. I do get worried about the rear of the pin box hitting the tail gate/bed rails. Hasn't happened, yet....

You have a sticker on the door frame, IIRC mine is near the bottom drivers door and it gives the gross weights, air pressure etc. F 350 SRW can go big or can go home, depends upon how it was configured. My F 350 SRW was config IIRC was 11,000 lbs maybe more, but it was max for a SRW (it was an '09 CC, LB).
IF you are close to max payload there are ways you can mitigate and vastly improve handling and overall performance-road manners.
Remember that all American manuf have a built in margin in their envelope for things like this. Its closely guarded data as they don't the public to think they can operate at a different level than the public specs provide. This also gives them conformation on various warranty issues. Certain motors in the Chev line have a 10% overwind factor (RPM). If you blow a motor then they know you exceeded that parameter. You can bet this applies to payload and towing capacity also...

17 oaks, my gvwr is 11500, so the info I looked at says my capacity is 3900 pounds. I feel better now and should be ok even if trailer is maxed out. I'm a weekend warrior and not pulling across the world, so I should be good.

There you go Chris you are within the envelope, now the question is on road manners. Driving with big weight near the top of the capacity can give you white knuckles for sure...been there.
Here are some things you can do to change all that:
1) Hellwig Big Wig rear (and maybe front) swaybar. I run F/R, but could get away with just the rear.
2) You may want to consider Torklift 'StableLoads for your rear springs, inexpensive and can install in the driveway. I have run them on the past 3 trucks.
3) Rancho RS 9000 XL adjustable shocks
I run these on my trucks and have on the last 3 F 350's, would not leave home without them. Your SB/SRW is gonna need some help I would bet and the above will give it and total cost is well below $1k and you can do it in the driveway with hand tools.

Hi Chris,
I have a 2015 38 FLSA and it GVWR is around 16000 ibs. The pin weight is usually 20% - 25% of the actual trailer weight as a rule of thumb....that puts you at or near your max payload of 3900 lbs. I would do a little more research and definitely not run with anything in the tanks.

These are the numbers from my '13 350 CC 2WD for reference:
Front / Rear GAWR. 5000/6730
Front / Rear weight. 4580/3360
These numbers are for our truck loaded to travel and includes the hitch. Your weights will differ based on trim, options, drive train, passengers, and "stuff" you're carrying. In my case it "suggests" that my max trailer weight would be around 13,480#.
The CAT Scale is your friend.

Loving the new 38Flsa, and the truck did just fine. Pulled like a champ and was almost level. What mean by level is once I get my little bit of stuff in the unit it will be level.

I have the same set up as you and have not had any problems towing yet, just be mindful of the extra gear/stuff and as noted above make sure all tanks are emptied before travel and hopefully you won't have any problems.Good travels.
