2016 15inch to 16

Hey all

Has anyone put bigger rims and tires on there 5th wheel? I have a 2016 28.5 RSTS and was thinking of a 16 inch wheel vs the 15..tried to get a hold of Jayco but they've never responded.....to see if they would fit.Trying to get a little more level out of the unit. King pin is as low as it can go..dont really want to lift kit it...Thanks all

16's will work just fine. You can look around (give me a few minutes) and find the same wheels in a 16 inch for way less than the dealer will charge. If you use X Chocks, they won't work if you go to 16 in wheels.

We custom ordered our Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS from the manufacturer and opted for the 16" wheels from the factory. I believe 15" is standard and 16" is the upgraded size. I got the bigger wheels because it's been suggested you have more tire options later. Keep in mind that the WHEEL size has little to do with the TIRE size. For example, some pickup trucks come with 16", 18" or 20" rims but all fit inside the wheel well. It's all about the tire size with the rim.

Trailer Tires and wheels.com has some good choices.

Just did it with our rlts. Try recstuff.com. They had the best wheel prices when I was shopping. Discount tire price matched and they gave me 100 card for buying 4 wheels another 100 card for buying tires as well
If they are the same wheels that came with my rlts they don't make the same in 16 inch but there are plenty of other choices

I've got 4 16" rims for sale in the buy-sell thread but they're 8 lug and you're probably sporting 6.
Good luck with the swap!

15 inch to 16

Our other 5er had 15" tires. After 6 blowouts through out the years and broken two rear leaf springs at same time, I switched to 16" rims and tires along with new springs, shackles, etc. Never had any problems after the upgrade for a few years. Then purchased a new 5er.
Also understand the selection and quality is much better with 16".

We had the 16" Maxxum's installed from the factory. So far, so good.
