Hello all! New to travel trailer camping and our 2016 28.5RSTS just arrived at the dealer. The bad news - during travel to dealer, the pantry door came open and broke the door handle, damaged the door and dented the slide-out side window frame. Since I upgraded to the frameless, double-pane windows, they don't have an ETA on the replacement. Also, the techs had to track down a gas leak and it ended up being a regulator under the trailer.
The dealer also didn't know where the solar-prep wires come down at - couldn't find them in the front anywhere. Also, there is a switch inside the battery compartment that we can't figure out what it controls. There is a back-up camera sticker on the same wall the switch is on, but without having the trailer to try the back-up camera monitor with, it is still an unknown. Both of these items are supposed to be answered by the dealer's rep at Jayco - three days now and still nothing back from Jayco.
Overall, I think the trailer looks nice. I really like the all LED lights inside and I also added the 50 amp upgrade and second AC - the primary AC is the "Whisper Quiet" model and it really was very quiet. I was really impressed with the windows - you couldn't hear the music they had playing outside at all.
I'm looking forward to adding several items (solar panels, etc) - I became a GoPower dealer so I can get the items and demo them on my trailer!
Hopefully, the items listed above are common issues with new trailers and the dealer gets them worked out soon. Look forward to meeting many of you while camping.
