2016 321 RSTS Question

Can someone puy me in the correct direction as to where the bypass is for the water-heater? I am guessing they are a hose there that I can pump my antifreeze with assuming the water pump is there. It was fun getting to the low point drains .

I guess a better question is when I switch the valves to the winterize digram does that work as the same as the bypass? Then just use a garden hose in the city water connection and it will pull the antifreeze from there?

Gobble,
I'm not familiar with your 5er but I'm guessing you are describing the water control box in the basement. On our '13 351 RLTS there are two sets of valves, a pair for the fresh water source (city water, tank, etc), and a second set for the water heater, setting them to 'winterize' does the bypass. And, yes, we then use a short hose connected to the city water to suck the antifreeze into the system. Be sure to drain the heater as well.

On my 15 321rsts, setting the valves to 'winterize' by passes the water heater. Mine also came with a short hose to connect to suck the antifreeze from the jug into the system.

If you set it to winterize, yes it will bypass the HWT. My trailer also came with the short hose, I used about 10 Lt of antifreeze to do the trailer. You are right about the low point drain, what was Jayco thinking of

Thanks everyone, I have more more question and I promise to stop being a pest.. On all other units I have had I would always open the bypass for a sec and get one of the pink stuff (antifreeze) in the short tubing going to the water heater, do you all do the same with the switches?

My new 321 is the easiest RV to winterize of any that ive had. But the low point valves are not easy to access. Like has been said already, drain the water heater and just flip the levers in your docking station to winterize, hook up the short hose to the fresh water inlet and hit the pump. Piece-O-cake!
Just dont forget to open the washing machine lines in the front closet and get the fresh water out of them. I almost forgot mine...

We're very happy with it. Only got to use it a few times this year but haven't had any complaints. It's beautiful, roomy, tows very nicely, love the layout......

We have a 2017 321RSTS that we ordered in April this year thinking we would get a 2016 model but Jayco was in the process of changing over to the new line. So far we really like it and have no regrets. Love the pocket door for the bathroom. Like others said it is an easy trailer to winterize with the control valves inside the basement door. The only low point water line drains I have are in the basement storage on the door side behind an inspection cover. There are valves on the low point drains that pull out to open. I kept turning them thinking they would open that way until I finally figured out that they popped up.

Completely forgot about those washing machine lines, not use to having those since this is my first fifth wheel, thanks for pointing that out Camping Grandpa so, I drained those lines and re-winterize, 15 minutes probably saved me big $$$

Thanks again

Mine is a 2016, it is my first fifth wheel and love it so far, some minor issues only , took some getting use to pulling it, had a 25 ft TT before, but no big deal. Layout is great and the amount of storage is pretty good. Mine came from RV Canada but bought it threw another dealer in Vars, closer to my place. Notice you are from Ottawa. Good luck
