What was the material they used, did they rivet it or screw it in place? Are rollers are crushing the material! Thanks

Hello, the picture you posted showing the underside of the floor with the roller marks does look just like mine. The screws I had mentioned were the ones holding the rubber seal that covers up the slide out rollers. I unscrewed all of them and sprayed the lubricant on them and the underside of the floor. A couple of posts here recommended using CVC dry lubricant which has the PTFE (additive) in it. What ever that is ? I looked at several automotive stores yesterday and two RV stores with no luck, so I purchased a can of Liquid Wrench dry lube and it had the PTFE in it, so used that and my slide seems to work better, especially with the center stabilizers raised UP.

You do not have to take any screws out u can just pull the seal down with your fingers and spray in dry lube. Do not use anything other than dry lube or dirt will collect. Before they installed the hard Teflon pads I would spray dry lube on the floor material where the rollers rub. I still do that on bedroom slide. Keep the gibs lubed with what schwintec recommends. And keep ur slide seals lubed, I use 303 or one of the foaming slide seal lubes sold. With slide fully out you can see the rollers just barely from inside floor. I also use a blower and blow from inside with slide out and blow all the junk out thru the seal that collects on floor.

I contacted Jayco when I first got the FW about what was the correct procedure to deploy slides, before or after leveling since the book says after but others had better luck before. There reply was whatever works better for your unit.

Rock,Thanks for the information on the side out, I unscrewed the long seal under the slide out as i've never peaked inside there, so I then lube them all and sprayed some on the area where the rollers marks were. That was a good idea of using a blower to clean out under the kitchen side and blow any junk out the seal. I'll try doing that also.
Im not sure the slide will keep moving in in the future,
but spraying lube and leaving the stabilizer jacks in the up position has obviously helped. hopefully it will keep working ok.
thank you, Bill B

Darn it!!
I didn’t knock wood when I replied above.
Eight people waiting on me to go camping and my new $2500 Shwintek fix is STILL BROKEN.

Holy smokes the DW is pissed.
The kitchen slide is not going to go in. Called Lippert, the tech was out of ideas.

Hello, if you read my earlier posts about the sides, I certainly have had the same problems !
What I have done is raise the center stabilizers and sprayed dry lube on the rollers, apparently these units are way too heavy for the small electric motors.
One person posted that he was told to raise the center stabilizers as that is the way they go thru the assembly line when being built, raising the stabilizers seems to allow more clearance for the rollers. I know when I've been setting up the unit, that when the center stabilizers go down I can see the frame flex up some when they settle to the ground.
Good Luck,
Bill Burgess

My Shwintek bed slide has always worked fine. My kitchen slide worked fine up until 3/4 of the way thru the past winter away, then it started getting out of sync and trying to come in on an angle so I had to push the slow side in/out. After I resync'd it with the dbl push on the button that part has been fine. I lube the drive mechanism regularly and the worst spot is the lower roller that gets exposed to tire spray and is looking a bit rusty. The rollers are making a slight mark in the fabric underside on the kitchen slide, bed slide nothing. We use the trailer in the winter, ~12mo total in 3 yrs of ownership, staying on average 1.5weeks at a spot so the slides come in and out a fair bit.

Why are some slides having big issues and some not? Our kitchen slide carries a 4dr fridge, m/wave & stove on it.

It’s showing 6 flashes.
The back motor was working. Not the front. So the slide would twist.
Then the back motor would stop at 4” to being fully extended when trying to line it back up again.
It would retract (and twist more) but it wouldn’t fully extend.
Finally got it to fully extend. Now nothing works.
No noise when trying to retract now...it will make a hum when extending but since the slide is extended already it shuts down quick.
But no noise or movement when trying to retract.

Sounds like a wire problem either loose or came disconnected from motor. Now that it is extended u cannot even get to motor to look at the wires. Did u look up the flash code?

I pulled the fascia trim off the inside. The motor had popped out and twisted. I don’t know how it came out with the retention screw installed but by the looks of it the coupler that the motor shaft goes into wasn’t pushed down far enough and the motor sat too high on the block. The retention screw wouldn’t go into its slot on the motor if the motor was too high.
When the motor twisted it skinned all the control wires causing the short.
Totally the mechanics fault at the dealer.
Another case of I can do it better my self.

That has happened to many a person. Since yours was just done it was installer era. There have been a lot of posts about that bolt coming out a year or two later. I know u have to change motors inside but the factory told me bolt is removed from outside. I have never removed trim how did u get it off?
Thanks
