28.5 RSTS with Dodge Ram 2500

Drive a Ram 2500 4X4 long bed and would like to tow an Eagle HT28.5 RSTS. Is this a good safe match up? Also, what would you suggest for my brake controller. I was thinking light electric at a 5 but wasthinking I should go to heavyelectric at a 5. What does everyone think?

I think that's a fine matchup. For brake settings I'm on heavy electric at 7.5 or 8. towing an 11k pound fifth wheel. Just where I can feel the trailer brakes grab is where I set them.

We have a 2500. Ram with the 6.7L Cumins. We also pull a 33.5RETS without any problems. Brake settings need to be set trial and error in an empty parking lot. Just follow the directions for your controller and you should not have any problems.
