29.5 FBDS AC Options

Hi all,

We're thinking of buying a 29.5 FBDS and I'm looking for input regarding AC options. The dealer down here in central Florida stocks these units with the 15k AC upgrade. I see that an option is available for 2nd AC prep and a separate option for an additional AC unit. Given that we are in Florida and camp in the summer, is a single 15k unit enough for this trailer? Anyone with a unit in the 29.5 HT class have experience with hot weather camping?

Thanks!

I would recommend getting the 2nd AC.
I have a 24' and I would have a 2nd AC if any larger in Florida.
Easier to get it up front than installing later.

If you look at most dealer stock on larger trailers in FL they have 2 a/c units for a reason. I have seen lots of complaints of single units in the south not cooling the TTs very well. If it was me I would go for 2.

Always get 15k and always get the 2nd or 3rd ac option. It's dirt cheap options. You can never have too much AC! Always cost more to add later and may not even be possible.

Welcome to the forum. I agree with the above posts. I'd get the 2nd A/C. I did so with my current camper which is close in size to the camper your looking at...

We have about same size trailer. We were in southern NM at the beginning of the summer. There were days when even running both 15K AC units would not cool down the insides to below 80F (full desert sun all day, highs near 100F).
