291rsts and what are you towing with

At the present time we have a Cougar 284RDBWE, bunk... We are looking to upgrade to more comfortable living space as the home is going on the market next week.
From what we have seen our preferred is probably the 291rsts. I am curious for owners of the 291rsts, what are you towing with? We have a2002 Chev Silverado 2500HD, 8.1, Crew, long bed, 3.73, 4x4... No matter how much someone tries to beat the weight thing into my head I just cannot pick it up. And yes, I know the advertised weights are just numbers. The one weight I know is my hitch weight max is 2040#.
Is my truck safely set up for the 291? And so far that is the one that interests us most...
We want three slides, auto-level (I am spoiled with the auto-leveler)...
The two year warranty is darn nice...

Welcome to JOF! I'm no expert by any mean but you will run out of payload first, the payload is 1710 lbs and you said that your TV is 2040 lbs, that don't leave you much left.
After you load that puppy up you are going to have about a 1900 lbs or more payload on that.


Other will chime in and give theirs advice, it is a nice unit for sure.

We have the 2016 Model 291 RSTS and tv is 2016 Ram Ccab long box single rear wheel 6.7 Cummins with Aisin trans. I have to say it is a real pleasure to tow the unit with . We had 2007 cc with 5.9 Cummins and ran that unit to 197k before trading . All the newer trucks are very Capable .
