2nd A/C issue

Had a second A/C installed in the bedroom of our Jayco Eagle by Camping World. I even bought the extended warranty and from day one it freezes up at night. Took it back to Camping World before the warranty ran out and the tech removed a metal plate the increased air flow. They now want to charge me 158.00. Shouldnt that had been done to start with? I hate to pay them for something that isnt my fault.

Why run it so cold that it freezes up?

Have you talked to them about the bill? What do they say about why it isn't covered? Do you have the trailer back? Did the fix work?

Do you run it on low fan?

Also did they put the "freeze" sensor in place? If it's a Coleman there is a white wire that sticks into the coil on the left side about 2 inches over and 2 inches up that controls the freeze up.

It would seem to me that if it didn't work properly from the start and it's under warranty you shouldn't be paying anything.

Thats crazy, I would pay them nothing, did removing the plate solve the problem?
I'm kicking around installing the 2nd a/c in my ft. bedroom, did they install the factory unit that would of come with your camper had you ordered the 2nd a/c or a aftermarket unit? Did they install a new thermostat or do you control new a/c from unit itself?
