We just pick ours 317RLOK up the other day , and I have to take it back already . Something is terribly wrong with the brakes . If you just want to slow down they lock up . And skid the tires .Ugh .

Did you try adjusting the gain on the brake controller down? I know if my gain is set high then the trailer brakes engage too hard and too fast.

Sorry to high jacking the post , yes I ended up adjusting it all the down till I had no brakes at all , I just used the truck brakes to get it home .

Consider yourself lucky John.. I drive with my controller maxed out and barely have brakes.

Klassic, On my F350, I can go into the settings where there are 3 levels of strength for the brake controller. I believe the options are low, medium and high. This in addition to setting the gain with the controller on the dash. I don't know if you are aware of this feature. With my Eagle 317rlok and the setting on medium, I feel the brakes are right where they should be.

Inthewind, no I didn't order the outside grill, but I kept the grill and mount off my white hawk. I really liked the outside kitchen on the white hawk, but I used the bumper mounted grill more than the outside kitchen stove. I'll tell you, you are going to love this 5th wheel. It is a very nice unit and it pulls great! We can't get out for a couple of weeks but we are spending a ton of time in it loading. If I didn't know better, the way my wife is hauling things to the camper, I would think we were going full time....

We picked up our 317RLOK about a month ago and just finally got a break with the weather so we could unwinterize it. Slide topper awnings just got here today so those will be going on soon and my new reese sidewinder/airborne combo pinbox gets here tomorrow. When will the spending end! Gonna be great though. We love it so far just sitting in the driveway.

I know what you meaning on the spending. We went through this with the travel trailer and now it has started all over with the 5th wheel. I have on order a tire pressure monitoring system, a furrion observation camera, a motion sensor LED porch light, and a progressive industry electrical management system. We are also driveway camping loading and arranging everything. It won't be long now till we will be in a campground and we can hardly wait.

Today was a good day. I added a few things to our Eagle 317Rlok. First was a motion detecting LED porch light. Next was the Furrion Observation Camera. I am impressed with this camera. After the installation I pulled my truck 30' ahead of the trailer and still had perfect reception. No interference at all. Next I took the monitor into the bedroom, plugged in the the 12volt power and had the same results. I have seen some threads concerning the location of an off/on switch. My switch is located in the utility bay and works perfect. Later this week the install will be tire pressure monitoring system and then hopefully I will be done for awhile.

Klassic, I coated the gasket and bracket with clear silicone and attached it with 4 #10-3/4 sheet metal screws. The camera housing is plastic and there is not much weight. The directions that came with the 5th wheel are for a Voyager brand. Those directions said to drill a 5/8" hole just for the wire to feed thru. I didn't see any reason to drill the big honking hole in the wall when I could just notch the bottom of the clearance light for the wire and feed it right back in the same hole where I found the hot wire dedicated for the camera

The porch light sits on a bracket that allows it to be lifted off when on the road. It is something we have to remember to take down before going mobile. We really like it especially since we keep our unit in the driveway at home. We walk out there in the dark and as you approach the door, boom the light comes on. This one came with drywall anchors. I pre drilled and used silicone for the bracket. I had this same light on my White Hawk and found a thin coat silicone around all the seams on the light housing worked to keep the inside dry. Before I did that it did get water inside the light.
