377 W/D shutoff swap out to "fingertip" controllable

The dealer installed my washer and dryer when I bought the RV. Had I paid attention to just how tight it is to get to the faucets past the stacked units, I would have changed to quarter turn shut offs.

Before I go looking for the idea shutoffs to work with fingertips in a tight gap, does anyone have suggestions? I can't say I've ever had to find good valves I can properly operate in a 2 inch gap or less. I was debating putting solenoids in but I like the simple shutoff rather than electric if I can find something I can make work well. The position means I'd rather not do trial and error since removing the machines is not something I want to do more than once if I can help it.

Is it possible to fabricate some sort of tool to make operating the valves easier? I'm picturing a basic 1/4 turn valve and wondering if a piece of 1x2" wood could be notched in a way to operate the handle from the front of the enclosure.
