5th wheel hitch question

Hello All,

We purchased a 355MBQS last July. We had it delivered to our lot on the lake for the summer. We would really like to take a few trips this fall. In order to make that happen I need to install a hitch in my truck. What hitch would you recommend? I have a 2015 2500 Duramax. The camper is a 355MBQS.

Thanks for the advice!

You are going to get lots of opinions. All the major brands build a good product. If you need or want an automatic slider hitch it's hard to go wrong with a Superglide. There are also some newer innovative products out there like the Anderson Ulimate. Some good reviews on their hitch.

If you need a slider give serious thought to an automatic one like the Pullrite Superglide. That being said many have had good experiences with a manual slider. Cost and weight of the Pullrite hitch are their downside.

Ive been pulling my 355MBQS with a Reese 16K manual slider hitch with zero issues. Just dragged it from Va Beach to Rhode Island last week. So far its been great!

Are you happy with how your 2500 handles the rig? Do you have the short bed?

I really like the Andersen Ultimate Fifth Wheel Connection. If you've already got a gooseneck ball in your truck, then it is easily your cheapest solution.

However, I don't know how will it would work for you with a short bed. My truck has an 8' bed.

I also have the superglide and I have had no issues with it. Able to turn 90 degrees with no issues.

I have a Reese 20k with manual slide and have been very happy with it. given the way the front cap of the Eagles is shaped I've never needed the slide.
