5th wheel stabilizer

Does anyone use a 5th wheel stabilizer with 6 point Ground Control auto level system? Is it even necessary? This last weekend I noticed movement in the front while camping. I don't use one and am wondering if it will help. Or maybe Xchocks would. Not sure! Thanks in advance!

We have the four point leveling system and used x-chocks for the first time this week -- they made a world of difference. Can't comment on the stabilizer as we've never used one

I have a 6pt leveling system.

I use x-chocks on both sides, plus I installed the Steadyfast stabilizer system.

Both the x-chocks and Steadyfast system have made a big difference for us.

We have a 6 point system ,X chocks and use a stabilizer on the king pin. We can tell the difference if any part is missing but still get some movement.

If you have a Mor/rite hitch a king pin stabilizer won't help you, they are mounted in rubber.

My 377 is so low, my nose stabilizer looks like it is doing splits. Stopped using it. Can't get enough pressure on it. I have 2 of them too.

Six-point leveling, Strong-arms on the front landing gear, and Roto-Chocks. It's rock-solid when parked.

In the "For what it is worth" department I went through many different types/styles of stabilizing systems on my travel trailers/fifth wheels, X-Chocks, Kingpin Stabilizers (Bi-Pod & Tripod), Etc, all with limited success. Then I installed a set of JT-Strongarms, and all I can say is WOW! what a difference. Rock Solid! We have a 2018 Jayco Pinnacle 36KPTS ordered and will remove them from my 2012 and install on the new unit when it comes in. I spoke the a Lippert/LCI Representative, (who manufactures both the strongarms and leveling system) and he assured me they will work.

I used the kingpin stabilizer on my 29.5 BHOK for our inaugural trip this weekend on the second day and noticed a pretty marked difference in stability when the kids were jumping out of the bunks and we were in the bedroom. It did however still move. Why wouldn't that help with the MorRyde pin box?

My vote is for the strong arms.

Xchocks help hold the tires, but the frame still bounces on the springs and no mod will change that.

For me, 6 point leveling is pretty darn good. I chose to use no additional stabilization. For the money, I've not seen "enough" improved stability to justify the cost and time to set up/break down.

But if I was wanting the most impact I would use the string arms.

Good luck!

Strong Arms as well. Zero bounce in our unit.

The king pin stabilizer is useless with the Mor Ryde pin box because it's a "rubber" style dampener. The new unit will still move on the Mor Ryde regardless of whether a king pin stabilizer is used. It may help a bit but won't solve the issue.

Landing gear legs as short as you can get them, JT Strong Arms front and back, maybe some x chocks (never worked for me), and you should be solid. Just make sure you loosen the locks on the Strong Arms before you raise the unit.
