A/C unit make

What unit is on a 2016 Pinnacle FBTS? Is it a Coleman or another brand I need to find out the starting an running amps. The unit I ordered has two 15 k A/C s I ordered mine with the onan gen for dry camping but I also have a Honda 3000is that powers my 15k Colman on my current tt. I want to know if I can power one unit from my Honda like I do now in econo mode. I can run it all night on 3 gl and the onan is .6 gph at half load

Should be a coleman unit, but somebody with a Pinnacle can verify. Most all Jayco's seem to have the Coleman units.

They did the cold testing at Dometic so I kind of thought it was a Domitic unit

Maybe so, but I hope not. I can't stand Dometic AC's, due to a lot of experience with the newer ones on past few rigs. Just looked at a few 2016 Eagles online today, and could see the Coleman T-stat on the wall. Who knows.

I'm sure some of the colemans have their days, but it's the control box functions, 3 wire digital t-stat etc I didn't like with the newer dometics. I've dealt with the coleman units offshore for a LONG time in harsh environment, and have abused them to no end with little failure. That's just one of the reasons I like them.

That coleman mach 8 low profile is a very nice unit. We thought about adding one to our front bedroom, but really don't need it at the moment. Good luck with your new Pinnacle. Very nice rig.

I like ur sign off but it would be nice to have a few years with no fixing. I am use to that just traded in a 30 ft cabin cruiser on a triaxle trailer and salt water is a full time repair

I'm with you Rock. Knock on wood, most of the fixing is done on ours. I hadn't really had any big issues to speak of. This is our 8th rig, but first Jayco, and so far it's been good to us. Just a few more irritating cosmetic things left to fix. Everything else is just piddling and modifications. My wife says I'll never leave it alone. When I'm home from work, every morning consists of sitting in the shop by the RV staring at it drinking coffee, thinking what can I do next. I guess it's an addiction.

Do you have a guestimated date on the Pinnacle coming in? Please give a run down when you get it.

Not yet it has only been a week. Dealer said usually 2-3 before a date comes in. Just saw a post where one was ordered July 11th and received two days ago. So I guess around six weeks

Waiting stinks, but I'm sure you'll be happy when it's there. Just read your bio and seen you were USCG. I have a lot of respect for you guys, even though I only deal with CG with routine inspections and annual stuff (Offshore DP Semi-Sub MODU).
