I have a 2012 Eagle Fifth Wheel Model 351 MKTS. The AC in the living room will not shutoff. I replaced the thermostat but it still will not shutoff. The only way to shut it off is to flip the breaker in the fuse box. Has anyone had this problem?
Many years ago I had this problem with my home unit. Turns out the outdoor unit is powered thru a "contactor", which is really just a relay. It uses lower voltage on one side to switch on/connect the higher voltages needed to the compressor. In my case it had arc welded itself to the always on position. It was also full of dead bug parts which may have been a contributing cause.
I was able to take it apart, clean up the contacts and get it running. The next work day I purchased a new one, something like $30?
You may have a similar arrangement.
