Accessing the plumbing . . .?

2008 299RLS. I need to get to the pipes near the "low drain point" through the under-belly material. There is water coming out of a hole when I try and fill fresh water tank (only!)
How do I access the pipes? The under-belly covering seems to be kind of hard. I'm thinking a utility knife would be better than say a saws-all.
Cutting with knife? . . . Or what?

Dont cut your under belly with a knife. It should be put on with screws. Mine has square drive screws holding the under belly up, so I just remove those to access anything.

The water may be coming out just because you are over filling your tank.

I'll look for screws. The overflow is on the tank and a good ten feet from the leak. It comes out of a 3/8" hole right next to where the low drain pipes come down.
I'm hoping there's a valve I've forgotten to close after winterizing last year. I'm in Wyoming.

I mean the "leak" is coming out of a hole next to low drain pipes.

The area of this "hole" and "leak" are in between the I-beam and the skirting . . . about 14-16" area. Removing the screws will do nothing to access underneith. Fiberglass reinfoeced plastic covering particle board is the apparent material. I see no other way to access it than to cut it out with saw! Carefully of course.

If you e-mail Jayco they can provide schematics for your unit since you are out of warranty. I would be very leary of cutting into the underbelly since you have no idea what is behind that covering. Could be a tank, pipe or wiring behind it.

Another option would be cutting a round hole that you can later install one of the round marine access covers in after doing the fix since it seems you have some decent material to mount it to.

Check with Jayco first though. You will need your vin# for this.

I FOUND IT!!! I REMOVED THE REARWARD PANEL IN THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT AND EVERYTHING WAS RIGHT THERE!!
THE LEAK IS COMING FROM A LITTLE BOWL LOOKING THING PLUMBED INTO THE MAIN LINE GOING TO THE TANK. HAS A SCFREEN IN IT. IT MUST HAVE HAD WATER IN IT, FROZE, AND CRACKED CAUSING A LEAK WHICH RAN DOWNHILL TO THE OTHER HOLE DESCRIBED ABOVE!! voilà!!!! FIX THE BOWL ( OR CAP) . . . FIX THE PROBLEM.
