In my older unit I chased the 7 way wire loom to where it entered the front of the camper. Everything was behind a service hatch and tied together with wire nuts. I tied into the wiring there to run the wiring to the rear of the camper for double towing.

There should be a electrical junction box mounted just at the end of the trailer 7-way cable connection that goes to your truck. All of the seven wires are terminated in this junction box to give a good junction point to replace your damaged trailer connection cable. These wires usually use the large YELLOW twist-on wire nut connectors and the wires are color coded. Just find the the ones for the running lights and the turn signal lights. GOTO Etrailer.com for color code info and lots of other trailer light information.

My trailer uses the standard metal electrical junction box with a lid installed just under the trailer frame near the the trailer tongue area.
Easy access...
