Adjust suspension for trailer height

Anybody know the recommended procedure for doing this? My springs are in the top hole now. I want to try moving them to the bottom hole before I consider flipping the axles.

I know it seems like this adjustment would add stress but it also seems like Jayco wouldn't have added the capability if it wasn't safe and within design limitations.

Been there- done that- Jayco recommended I not use the bottom holes- Flipping the axles will raise the trailer approx. 4 inches- We did flip the axles but had to do some extra work to hook up the shocks- We achieved our goal which is to have our trailer tow level- JMHO- DD

Donnie, I read your thread from a year ago that ended with the suspension change and springs in the middle hole. Did you have problems that led you to flip the axles or did you simply need more height? Not sure I want to raise mine 4" but I definitely want to raise it a little.

I pulled it out onto some relatively level ground and realized the best solution and the path of least resistance was simply to lower my hitch by one hole. A few minutes with the impact and torque wrench and that was done. I still have over 7" of bed rail clearance and the trailer should ride kinda flat like that.

The truck is a LBCC K-3500 dually but it has the stubby tires on it. I never dreamed I'd appreciate those little tires... until now.

Our GMC 3500 cc dually rode too high to tow our Eagle in a level configuration so we did what we had to to be level and safe- JMHO- DD

Donnie, I'm considering flipping mine to ride level behind my Dodge 4WD. How hard wasit to do for a shade tree mechanic?

I used the middle hole to get more clearance and a level trailer on my Jayco Designer. Have had no problems and now have 7 inches clearance from bed rails. If I would have needed more clearance then I would have flipped the axle.
