any speaker guru's here?

Anyone hooked up their tv output to their Jensen radio to go through the three sets of speakers? I am not having a lot of luck. For one thing, the DVD player aux 1 input jacks are going to the television output jacks. Even though I select Aux 1 input on the source menu, I do not hear the tv audio. Am I missing something obvious somewhere? How the heck does the DVD player go through the tv output jacks for the TV to play the movie? Or am I missing some wiring somehow? I am totally confused! Could this be wireless somehow? Anyone know of any threads that might help me out?
Thanks in advance.

I used the HDMI out from the jenson to send both video and audio to the TV. Then used the audio out ( RCA style jacks) from the TV and put them on the aux1 audio inputs on the jenson

You need to hook up the TV output into the Jensen inputs. The inputs in my last unit had the outside inputs plugged into them so I removed and installed the TV set in it's place. If you want DVD sound on the TV you need to run another set from output DVD player to the input on the TV.

If your Jensen unit has a HDMI port, you should use that and abandon the line connections.... Much Better picture anyway

That is exactly what I have done but I get no sound through the Jensen speakers.

That is what I am trying to use. The HDMI works fine between the Jensen and the TV. If you remove the HDMI cable, the only connection between the Jensen and the TV is the RCA Outputs from the tv to the AUX 1 inputs on the Jensen. That being the case. How the heck does the DVD signal from the Jensen get to the TV. I seem to be missing something here. The Jensen works fine playing a DVD with only those RCA connections in place.

what I did

Used hdmi from jensen to tv. Used the tv digital audio output back to the jensen digital input. I can turn off the tv internal speakers to avoid the audio sync echo sound. When switching between the different sources there is a short delay, so give it a second.

Well, I think I finally found the problem. The AUX 1 inputs do not seem to work. I switched over to the Aux 2 inputs and whalla, it works fine. Using HDMI out from the Jensen for DVD's and and HDMI input to the television from my Satellite receiver. GOOD TO GO!
Thanks for all the input.
