Anybody have a pre-2016 Eagle HT 29.5BHDS?

We are picking up our 2016 Eagle HT 29.5BHDS this week. We like a lot of the changes that were made over previous models, but one change the wife does NOT like is the control center. I think the 2015 model had it behind a glass insert cabinet door on the upper cabinet to your left when you walk into the camper. In ours, it's just an exposed switch panel. I do agree that it's kind of ugly.

Could someone with the older model take dimensions of the cabinet door and control panel for me? I assume that it's probably the same flush mount panel that ours has. If our control panel is the same size, we'll have the dealer order a cabinet door from a previous model and I'll put it on for her.

Thanks for any help.

How would you do this?
The panel is just screwed flush to the side of the cabinet. It would have to be inset into the cabinet or have 3/4" build out around the panel. Otherwise the door isn't going to close. It would just close against the switches and not close. Probably just break the glass when the switches poke through.

You would need to attach a picture frame type frame to the wall and mount the door to it to allow clearance for the switches. I can take a picture of mine if you need it.

Although we do see the expose panel, but it no longer bothers us to look at it. Given the fact that we have to constantly check the gauges for the tank and battery levels, having to open a glass door to check every time would become a chore.

Of course one major item that we don't like in the 2016, compared to 2015, is the bedroom closet. The 2015 model has a long closet, but Jayco chopped it off for 2016 and added a small drawer and a window. But, we're living with it and working around it.
