Atwood range

So I consider myself an experienced RV owner but I have a question. I have a 383flfs. And I have a 5 year old son who is autistic. Do the stove in RV's have some kind of safety mechanism to ensure that gas won't leak out if it's turned on without a flame burning? I know you have to push the knob to turn them. But he could probably do that. He tends to get up and wander at night. Thanks all!

No, not that I'm aware of. When our g-kids visit, I've wished there was such device.

There are a number of options on amazon. Search for stove knob child safety.

Not for a determined 5 yr old. Almost have to have a key lock for those kids.
