Awning conversion

So the hottie wife & I have the mighty Jayco eagle 322 FKS.

Well we need a new awning and had two questions.
1) we were wondering if we could switch over to a electric awning ??
2) does it really matter what color you get ??

Color of the awning is totally up to you and what you like. I have never agreed with the resale value line of thought. IF you like it then get it. AS for electric awning.. I will never have another one again.. but then I like to use the add a room that you can get and the old style manual is much better for them..

I hate the white awning....shows too much dirt. When I replace it - it wont be white anymore....

Yes you can change it for an electric awning, you will need to harness some 12 volt power somewhere. My power awning is a Carefree of Colorado, I tend to like the framework better than the dometic power awning, that is opinion of course.

Color, agree with others, find what you like

I think you can buy a conversion kit if you have the Carefree one. Go to their website. I like the electric awning. It shouldn't be too hard to get power to the awning. It depends on where your panel is. The website suggests one way is to run the power down the arm and down the plate that holds the arm to the trailer. Ours enters the trailer about 6 inches from the roof than into the closet by the bed where it makes it's connection with a wire from the panel.
