Awning question
Can you tell me if the awnings Jayco uses are adjustable up or down? Don't know what brand they use but we ordered a pinnacle and the awning is up so high on the one we looked at we wonder if it goes up or down. It was to close to the trailer that was next to it on the lot that we couldn't try it. The salesman said he thought it did. I figure this is the place that can tell me for sure. Thanks

If it is electric, I am pretty sure the answer is 'no'. The electric awnings do sit very high up - I do not care for them as they do not shade as well and they are not as adjustable as the manual, which can be a bit more cumbersome in rain (especially if you have the auto rain dump feature) and cumbersome for cleaning (many have to stand up on something to reach).
If yours is manual, then yes, they adjust to several heights.

You would have to look at the arms. If they have low mounts then it is probably manual.

We have a Pinnacle, and the electric awning is a Carefree Traveller, and it is not adjustable. For us, the advantages of fast deploy and retracting outweigh the disadvantage of not being adjustable. On two occasions, we have retracted the awning in the middle of the night from inside the fifthwheel, when it got windy.

I agree w/ huronwoods. The convenience far outweighs the challenge to clean it.

Yes the one on order will have a power awning. My current trailer has a power awning and that one is adjustable. There are two knobs, one on each arm that can be adjusted to allow the arms to go up or down once the awning is fully extended.

my awning is adjustable. There is a pin on each side you push in and then you can slide itvdown the rail and lock into about 5 or 6 different positions. the one thing I will not like, is I will have to clean the awning off a latter because you can not drop the awning all the way down.

My 2011 Eagle uses an adjustable electric awning. The Carefree Travelr. I love it, and the auto rain dump feature is great.

If you look on the lower arms you may have 6 holes and a bearing/pin that adjusts the pitch of the awning. I find that ours is most easily adjusted when the awning is only about two feet out from the trailer.

Awning
My 03 has a carefree of Colorado fiesta and it is adjustable
But I have to get up on a ladder for the right side and to pull it down
Cause I'm too short and too old and too fat to
Jump. If I win the lottery I will have an electric one installed.

Be careful, you may get what you wish for. I really don't care for ours at all.

This is my first Carefree product. I love the electric awning for it's convenience but the slide-out awnings are not long enough.
The A & E design seemed to allow the water to run off the ends instead of down the slide-out.

We have a Dometic on our Bullet and it works flawlessly. I just wish it had a hard shell.

AMEN to that. You should see the crummy job they did on the front skirt on our Montana 5er. We will never buy anything from them again. They even admitted it was a poor job but I didn't want any more holes in the front cap. They did not offer to make it right. So I will bad mouth their product and crews when ever I get a chance.

we have a 2012 RETS and our awning switch is in with the other slide switches, behind the little door with the other switches plus we too have the remote. I would think yours is the same
