B&W Patriot hitch users help!

I need to hear from those that ACTUALLY use the Patriot especially if switched from a Reese.I a looking at changing from my Reese 16k due to clanking & chucking .Or a suggestion.
I am stuck with a rail type hitch unless I change out my Curt turnover ball.

I use the Patriot with puck base. It drops right into my Ford's factory prep package. My first FW Hitch so I can't compare with other brands but I quite happy with it. Locks solidly, no clanking or chucking, I do use a Lube Plate. I can easily remove the head and take it out of the bed when not being used.

I have a Patriot that I use with old Reese rails. The hitch it's self is super quiet and smooth. The old rails are worn a little, so where the pins go in to hold the 5th down there's some slop. That's where I get clanking. I just put some thin metal shims in between the rail and base of the B&W. Zero noise or slop at that point. I'm on my 2nd season with the Patriot. About 10,000 miles worth. It's very easy to use and 99% fool proof. Only way you would have any trouble is to forget to put the pin in the handle to lock the handle in place. Zero chance of hitching pin high. It's nice to be able to remove it in 2pc's also. The head lifts off real easy with two grab handles. The base is a little heavy but doable alone. Fit and finish is top notch.

We use the Companion from B&W with the Ford puck mount. In use for about a year and has given us no trouble at all. The pin is a Mor-Ryde and the combination is very quiet and smooth.
I used to lift it in/out of the bed using my shop crane but like "go" I now lift it by hand in 2 pieces.

Another Companion user here - I did the Turnover ball + companion set-up for our 5'er - With a lube plate it's smooth and quiet.

The Companion also has some nice features to help you secure the Pin correctly - if you have EVER high pinned a 5'er you know what I am talking about. Scary **** if you don't catch it. the B&W hitch will not let you **** the hook-up process, if it's not right, the hitch will not lock in.

I use the Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection. Mounts right on my flip ball. I had a 36 foot horse trailer that was gooseneck. Can't beat the hitch. Only had to put chains on the pin box here in Ontario to run it as a gooseneck hitch.
