bathroom sink replacement
Having problems with the hot water handle in the bathroom sink. Tried replacing handle which is stripped but could not find match. May just replace whole faucet. What have any of you used as faucet replacement and do they pretty much go in easy. I imagine just a little hard to get to.
Thanks,

Replacing the bathroom faucet it pretty easy. All fittings are plastic and not much for tools are required. We replaced our faucet because A). it was so low and close to the sink, you could not get your hands under it and B). the hot water tank is directly below the sink and when the hot faucet was opened, it was HOT right now. A single lever faucet eliminated this.
Here is what replaced the original faucet:
Chrome Finish Single Lever Lavatory Faucet - Valterra PF232323 - Faucets & Inlets - Camping World
Hope this helps.

At most you may need a basin wrench, which allows you to get behind the sink and up to the nuts holding the faucet to the bowl. No different than any other vanity faucet.

Just head to your local big box store (Lowes, Home Depot) and purchase a faucet with 4" center. If your vanity is to tight to lay on your back to reach the nuts it may be easier to just remove the sink then switch out the faucet. Most sinks just caulk into place some use a few screw clamp clips.

Magnolia Tom, do you have the make and model of the one you used? That really looks nice.

Changing out the lavatory faucet was one of the first mods I did. The one thing I found was the plastic sink in my trailer is so thin, I couldn't tighten the basin nuts that hold the faucet to the sink. Just ran out of threads on the faucet. I purchased 4 fender washers that were large enough to fit over the faucet threads. Added "thickness" to the sink without much cost.

Check with a local mobile home dealer most of the sink parts are mobile home equipment. As for changing the faucet my back was hurt so my wife did ours, piece of cake.

I was able to find replacement handles at a local RV parts place. They're easy to strip and I've had to replace 3 (IIRC) out of a total 6 handles.
Just checked my crystal ball and I can see replacement faucets in my future.
