Bathroom vent cover dry rot after 1yr

Hi,was wondering if anybody had to replace the type of bathroom vent i have in main bathroom in my 2016 eagle 360qbok. It has a lever inside which you give a half a turn to and the sides fold in. It's definitely not a normal vent setup. Mines dry rotted after a year and will be getting it fixed under warranty but was thinking of maybe changing it over myself as it is an all day affair for me to bring to dealer. I added some pictures. What be a good replacement? A regular style then put a maxx air cover over it? It does have a fan in it already.

It's covered under warranty.
It's happened to almost all Eagle owners. Those covers dont have the UV protection in them. Manufacturers defect.

I just ordered one off Amazon to install for a friend. Costs about 25 bucks for the oe model or pay $45 for one with UV protection.

That's why they don't put the better one on. Most last more than the warranty period.

If you are happy with the fan, just add a Maxxair II cover and it should last a long time. Also you can leave it open in the rain!

Thanks for the responses. I ordered some maxx air covers for the 2 other regular style vents. Is this type of vent called a static vent? I guess i will let dealer replace it and then put a maxx air on it.

I replaced mine this spring, brought the defective one to my dealer. They opened a case with Jayco. Just waiting on a refund of 125.00 for labor and materials I used to replace it with. I put in a MaxxAir 7500. Even if its not covered under warranty, I figured I might as well make the investment and fix it right.

Mine did that, too.
I bought a MaxAir vent/fan combo and Jayco picked up the labor to have it put in. Didn't want that crappy little fan put back in there. Perfect time to upgrade. Got the better fan for $100 on ebay.

Totally Dry Rotted

My vent cover is dry rotted too and didn’t realize it until I woke up to water all over the bathroom floor! What’s the name of the cover in order to purchase a new one. I called my dealer and they of course had no clue what I was referring to?
