Battery disconnect switch not working

We just purchased a 2016 293RKDS and while preparing our unit for the first trip, I tried the battery disconnect switch while on shore power and also while disconnected. Either way, all lighting and radio keep functioning. In my previous fifth wheels, that switch was killing all power to the unit.

Any ideas?

Not without seeing where the disconnect switch is located. Do you see any info in your documentation? I know it is pretty generic.

Need some testing and pics.

The only think I can think is that at purchase I requested that the dealer install 2 6 volt batteries. I wonder if that can affect the switch?

Maybe they removed the disconnect switch wiring?

Looks like all the wires were connected to the battery. I will remove the wall behind the switch this afternoon to follow the wires.

So my wires on my 2015 were installed incorrectly. I had to follow the wires and flip two connections to the proper side of the switch.

Were you able to get a wiring diagram?

No I just traced the wires and took the switch off and on the back of it some leads were hooked up to the same post as the battery connection. So when I flipped the switch some items went down and others did not because in essence they were hooked directly to the battery. When I moved this connections over and isolated the battery connection it now works as designed.

Another problem solved.

The wires were not connected properly thanks to Bfurry78 for pointing me in that direction.

Regards

Martin

Have related question. 2012 Greyhawk 31SS. Battery disconnect worked fine until about two weeks ago. Now it is stuck in the "on" position. Pushing the switch produces no relay clicking sound, and the house power just stays connected. Is there a fuse somewhere? Or do you think I might have a faulty relay and does anyone know where either might be located?
