Any that I have seen are loud. We turn ours off at night when we go to bed.

Ours is loud as well. I leave it on though because it drowns out the loud people outside at 2am

They are loud and it's mostly due to them being so close to you and set up like the orginal AC's before the whisper quiet refit.

I keep mine off at night since the sun is down and the trailer is usually kept at temp with the living room unit.

x2. We do the same. Same as running a fan or noise machine with white noise. Knocks out all the outside noise and makes it nice and cool for sleeping.

We have the bedroom a/c and yes it is quite loud. It doesn't bother me while sleeping but it keeps my wife awake. Since both a/c units are ducted to the ceiling vents, we will run the main unit in the living room during the night and just point the vents where we want them to blow air. If you close some of the other vents in the main living area, there is surprisingly a strong current of air flow ducted to the bedroom vents. Keeps us cool at night, and not nearly as noisy. Having 2 a/c units is great.

It's loud because it is right over you head. We hardly ever use ours while sleeping for that reason but when it is hot it sure helps keep the rig cool.

We ordered our Pinnacle with the "low profile" bedroom A/C and were very disappointed in the noise and vibration. As others have said, the lower ceiling in the bedroom contributes to the noise, but the unit itself was so noisy even outside that it was just unacceptable. Outside, the fan was so loud that it sounded like a jet engine. We had it swapped for the "conventional" style like the one in the living room and this made the bedroom much more livable even when sleeping. The higher profile does make the exterior vertical clearance a possible issue but only a few inches on ours when hooked up to the TV. Overall, it was a good solution for us.

I can only compare the A/C on our 361 REQS to the older unit we had on a Montana. It seems to me to be quieter than the last unit. The living room A/C keeps the unit cool after dark. It is definitely needed in AZ during the day,
