Black tank rinse

Supposedly there's a black tank rinse feature on my new 2015 323 lots. I can't find a reference to it in the manual. Need a o know how this works. Unfortunately I'm 100 miles away from it so I can't search for it. Thanks, rick

If it's present, there will be an extra female hose coupling on the exterior.

My trailer supposedly had one too. Nope, nada, not there.

Fill and flush the toilet 3x. Pull the trailer around the slope surrounding the barn. Dump on the back field. Repeat until clear.

Yep, mine is about half way up the RV, above the dump valves.

Ours is in the water closet just above the fill coupling. They are very poorly labeled and this connection does not even have a label. After you plug in and start the water flow, you should hear it spraying into the tank when you open the toilet flapper. Open your black dump and after about 45 seconds you should also hear a steady flow through your dump hose too. Good luck and enjoy your new rig.

It should be labeled black tank rinse and located above, and near the black tank.

Remember to keep the black tank dump valve OPEN when using the rinser. Otherwise, you won't like the results - it can rupture your tank. At least, that's what my dealer told me during the PDI.

I sincerely doubt overloading the black tank will cause it to fail. But the pressure from a garden hosed should be enough to fill the vent to the top. That'll leave you with black tank rinse water flowing over the roof.

If the vents are shared with the grey water system, you'll have water flowing into the grey tank until that's full too and then you'll have that mess coming up the shower drain...

YUK! under any circumstances.

Good practice: Double-check to make sure the black water drain is open.

Dump close black tank valve, start tank flush refill to about 1/2, dump, repeat until clear. Just do not leave unattended when the waters running in .............. bad juju.

Here;s everything you'd want to know about dumping, flushing, and maintaining your black tank.

It won't make it to the roof. Don't ask how I know that! Just do not get distracted and set a timer if you plan on walking around doing other stuff for no more than 5 minutes on an empty tank.

If you do not have a control panel then look around the camper for a black female hose connection and it should be labled as a black tank rinse. If you do have a contol panel then it might be in there above your city water connection.

Heard enough stories about "incidents" when people got distracted while rinsing the tank. Now I set the timer on my Timex Ironman (with a 2 minute cushion, and yes, I've timed the water flow), and I try not to leave that side of the trailer. Happy to report after more than 2 years, no "exciting" incidents to report while rinsing the tank so far.

The first thing I do is open the Black Tank to drain. Then open the Grey tank to flush out the dump hose. Then I close Grey tank. Hook up your garden hose to the tank flush located on the outside of the trailer, location depends on Model. Turn on the hose. There are little sprayers in the Black tank that allow water to shoot all over the inside of the Black tank, sort of like rinsing out a coffee cup. With the tank flush going I then close the Black tank valve for about 1-2 minutes then open it again. this gives the extra rinse cycle to make sure your getting it all out. Then I close the Black Tank one last time for about 30 seconds so I get about 3-4 gallons of water in the tank. Then I turn off the tank flush and add chemicals to the toilet. All done and you have water in the Tank so it doesn't dry out. It sure beats dumping 5 gallon pails of water thru the toilet.
This is how I use my Black Tank flush and it seems to work for me.
