Can you take some photos of the valve and rod in the open and closed positions?

I had the same issue with my Designer, I tracked down the wire that comes from the pull handle, I was able to cut out a small portion of the insulation board in the storage compartment just under where he wire from the pull handle hooks in. I found that the wire cable has stretched and was not opening the small round cylinder which in returns opens the valve. I have left the cable unhooked and simply reach under and pull it open by hand now. I found that the tank opens completely and flushes out well. Thought I might run this by you since I had the same problem. Hope everything comes out ok
