Brand of caulk on Jaycos

Can anyone tell me what the brand and type of caulking Jayco uses on the outside of the trailer around the baggage doors, lights, access ports ect.? It really is a neat finish and looks better than many other caulks I have seen used on RVs.

I can call Jayco and find this out but I thought I'd ask here anyway.

I too would like to know (just had satellite installed and they replaced my standard connection with a blue one - had to peel back the cover. Using clear silicone right now, but, in the spring I would like to try and match OEM)...

I`m not sure what Jayco uses but consider Geocel Proflex for those applications. I have used it before and it seems to be good stuff. Available in clear, white, and others.

Thanks Matt, but I can't use self leveling caulk on side walls, it will just level itself right down the side of the trailer to the pavement.

I want to use the same stuff Jayco uses, I like the finish it leaves.

Don't know what brand Jayco uses but a call should be easy enough. Dicor makes both self leveling and the other kind.

I'm curious if anyone ever found out what this sealant is (the nice neat clear kind around the compartments etc)?

PS: Well it seems many like the Geocel Proflex brand so that is what i will go with. What exactly does one use to clean the old sealant off w/o harming the fibreglass, assuming Proflex is what Jayco uses.

What I have used is this first (available at many Wal-Marts) then paint thinner on a rag to clean off the residue. Maybe pickup some plain plastic paint scrapers, too.

I learned that a plastic caulk scraper will do a good job of putting a nasty scrape on a Jayco decal. Funny that a scraper would make scrapes...

dicor comes in self leveling or non leveling whitch works good on side walls..
