Has anyone done this? We have a new 27.5 BHS. We have a 32" TV we'd like to mount in the spot above the closet but that wall is the outside wall and we are afraid of puncturing it. We ended up bolting the stand to the bottom (top of closet) and installing four hooks and using bungee cords to secure it. Ugh! I hope it's ok there.
In my 30.5 BHLT I did the following with a similar area. Jaycee told me that there was a piece of plywood in the area, but I couldn't find it so I put one on the outside. Had I matched the stain better, it would have looked better but it's been a couple of years and zero issues.
Looks great! I wish we would have chatted before we did our install. I'm sure ours is fine but having it on a swivel mount would be ideal. Thanks for sharing!
