And they have pex's pluming, which is easy to work with if repairs are needed. We are new to the sight, but have had several Jayco's over the years. Happy Camping
Welcome to the forum and happy trailer shopping.

Right now we're down to this unit and one other manufactured on the west coast, but really leaning towards this one. It has all the features that my wife and I have on our needs list and from what I've read Jayco manufactures a decent quality product. Build quality was high on our priority list, as was staying at 35' or less, as was a pin weight under 2000 lbs. Our tow vehicle is a 2014 Ram 2500 diesel crew cab with a 6' 4" box, air shocks, and a payload of 2300 lbs. Because of this payload we searched for a hitch that would be lightweight and recently settles on the Anderson Ultimate hitch at under 40 lbs in aluminum. Feature wise the 293RKDS has everything we want and then some. Great counter top and cabinet space, straight on tv viewing, port side slides only , and excellent tank capacity to name a few. Retiring in less than 2 months and we'll be buying shortly thereafter.
Welcome to the forum, happy trailer shopping, and early congratulations on your retirement.

What's the highest points on your 293? Mine will have dual AC units. I special requested the factory to install a low profile AC on the bedroom. This will be my highest point. But curious what my second point would be. The roof? The TV antenna? The main AC?

Thanks,
Earl

Eagle 293rkds

Hi we also have a chevy 2500HD 6.0 6.5 bed and a 410 rear end gear. If this can handle it ok? We are going to dealers tomorrow to work on the price more, Just a FYI we stopped in Ind, and Ohio at to Jayco Dealer last year and saw some delamination just under the FW nose, one a 293rkds and the other one was a 291 FW both new units. This concerns me, Has anyone else seen or heard of this? Eddie

It's a loose hung panel, it's not foam block. So it will be flexible and may be wavy under certain temperatures.

Just a fyi yesterday,I called he dealer we were working with and he said that all the 293rkds production run was filled for April. and that if we could wait till May they would run them again as a 2018. He has all ready quoted our price. but not signed yet. He didn't know the changes yet on the 18's, Don't want to pay any more, I have my budget figured out. any one see this before Thanks FFD

Congrats on the new unit. The dw and i are chomping at the bits to get ours out this spring. As i stated in earlier posts we have not had any major problems with ours. It is a great unit for couples and if you have guests there is plenty of room. With the sofa bed out and dinnet both in the sleeping position, if you ordered the booth, you can still move all the way thru the unit with no obstructions!

293

Congratulation on your delivery, Ours is expected to arrive in May ? our dealer has his own fleet of trucks for this dealer ship so hopefully it won't set at factory from what I understand.
