Capture plate for superglide hitch

We tow a 2011 Jayco HT 26.5 with a PullRite SuperGlide 4400 hitch. Our Pin Box is a Dexter P/N 221-0031-00. Is anyone towing with this same configuration and can tell me if you were able to use the Quick Connect capture plate or did you have to purchase the Universal capture plate?

I can't answer many of your questions except to say beware of the universal capture plate!! I bought our pullrite on line and also the universal capture plate. I mounted the hitch in the truck and took the capture plate to the dealers when we went to pick up our 5th wheel. The technicians took our plate to mount it on the trailer. Half an hour later they came back and said that it would require alterations to make it work. I remember looking in the capture plate box and seeing a lot of parts that would have to be assembled to hang that on the trailer. I don't remember all the details of why it wouldn't work. The dealer had a quick connect plate that would work and I bought it. Time has told me it was one of my better moves as I've had to take it off several times since we bought the trailer. I've still got that other pile of iron around here some where!! My advice is to stay away from the universal plate..

I went out and checked the pin box no.and its the same as yours. I have the Pullrite Superglide 2700 hitch. (15000 lb) I would think that that there capture plates would be the same.

I use the 16K Superglide with a modified Universal capture plate and a Dexter pinbox. I made sure the dealer was on the hook for getting it installed.
In 2011 there was no Quick Connect plate that would work without mods (per the Superglide folk) so the Universal was the best option.
They sent the 5'er and the plate down to a local welding shop and it was modded very nicely.

It has worked very well for 3 years now. I like how it is so easy to remove.

I think any competent welding shop could easily do this for you.

See photos.

See fitment chart below directly from Pullrite. It appears that you would need Capture Plate #331731. Hope this answers your question.

I have a Mor/Ryde pin box but I would get the correct capture plate. It goes on in about 10 mins and you won't have to worry down the road. It cost me less than $100 from Tweetys (our forum sponsor) and it has worked flawlessly.
