Change in plans...

Back at the end of January, when it was balmy and sunny here in east Texas there was a thread titled "Who's going winter camping?" Many posted about upcoming winter camping plans, but I posted this:
Quote:
We're going to the harsh winter conditions of south Texas in about 3 1/2 weeks. Brrr!
I think that my attempt at humor irritated the weather gods. My trailer, all prepped and ready to go looked like this in our driveway today, the day we (planned) to leave (the white stuff, I am told by those more knowledgeable than me, is a layer of sleet on top of a thin layer of ice caused by freezing rain). Hmmph.

You tempted fate and fate delivered a little cloud poop for your efforts. Hope it warms enough to clear the roads.

At least you can GET to your trailer! Seriously, if you go be careful. Who knows, it could be 80 there next week.

That's not snow, that's Canadian frost.

About half of the campers here where I am hosting right now are headed north, but are laying low here waiting for things to thaw out. One couple yesterday extended their stay another 5 days and two motor homes traveling together from Ohio pulled in for "however long it takes". It is 35 degrees here right now but we have no ice or snow.

I'm at Foscue Creek Park in Demopolis, AL. It is a COE park. I will be here until the end of March.

All sites are full hookup (yes, a park with every site including sewer, 50/30/20). The only sites here without sewer are #11-15 which are close to the river/creek level and it does flood occasionally. All sites are concrete pads.
